Paysafe’s Andrea Dunlop wins ‘Woman in PayTech’ award

Jul 17, 2018

Paysafe CEO of Acquiring & Card Solutions recognised at inaugural PayTech awards

London, July 16, 2018 - Andrea Dunlop, Paysafe’s CEO of Acquiring & Card Solutions, has been named winner in the ‘Woman in PayTech’ at the PayTech awards. The awards have been established by Fintech Futures to recognise excellence and innovation in the use of IT in the finance and payment industry worldwide, and the people who make it happen.

The Woman in PayTech category aims to recognise an outstanding woman for her distinguished leadership and inspiring work in making a positive impact in the financial and payment services industry. The award also celebrates the spirit of inclusion, diversity, and creativity.

This latest accolade follows other recognition for Dunlop who has been praised for her extensive contribution to the payments industry where she is credited as being a voice for diversity.

In March she was named one of PaymentsSource’s ‘Most Influential Women in Payments in 2018’, in a list of 25 women from around the world. Dunlop has also been recognised with the ‘Payments Pioneer’ award at the UK Payments Awards in 2017 and was named the most influential contributor to the payments industry in the 2016 Payments Power 10 (UK), also being included in the ranking in 2017. Earlier this year Dunlop was appointed Chair of the Emerging Payments Association (EPA) Advisory Board.

Claire Gates, CEO of Paysafe Pay Later, Paysafe’s pay by instalment and invoice solution, was also shortlisted for the ‘Woman in PayTech’ award.

Commenting on the recognition, Danny Chazonoff, Paysafe’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “I am delighted that Paysafe had two strong nominations in the Woman in PayTech category for Andrea and Claire, and we are extremely proud of both of them. This further recognition for Andrea’s fantastic contributions and commitment to our company and the wider industry are extremely well deserved.”

Dunlop added: “At a time when interest in diversity and inclusion has never been greater, I am honoured to be named the winner of this category, especially against such strong competition. I am committed to helping to drive change in many areas of the payments industry for the greater good, and am grateful to the leadership team at Paysafe for supporting me on this journey.”
