Alan Osborne joins Paysafe as Chief Information Security Officer

London, UK: Global payments provider, Paysafe Group (Paysafe), announces it has further strengthened its technology leadership team with the appointment of Alan Osborne as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Osborne will be responsible for cyber and physical security across Paysafe as well as leading the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s global IT risk and business continuity strategy. 

Osborne will report to Paysafe’s Chief Information Officer, Roy Aston, based in the company’s London office.

Osborne brings over 20 years’ senior level experience to the role along with a proven track record in developing business-aligned security technology strategies. He previously held the role of Chief Security Officer at global payment processing company Worldpay and most recently was Chief Information Security Officer for National Grid, the multinational electricity and gas utility company.

Earlier in his career, Osborne held senior positions in global management consultancy, managed security services, and financial services. This included establishing the cyber security practice at management consultancy AlixPartners. Osborne was also responsible for global technical operations for managed security services at Symantec, the global security software and services provider, and was the Global Head of Security Architecture & Strategy for FTSE25 global financial services life and pensions company Old Mutual.

Alan Osborne’s biography in full

Alan has over 20 years of professional experience in IT, operations, and business leadership, underpinned by a strong technical background. Prior to joining Paysafe as Chief Information Security Officer in September 2019, Alan held the roles of Chief Security Officer for multinational electricity and gas utility company National Grid, and Chief Security Officer for Worldpay, the FinTech global payment leader.

Earlier in his career, Alan held senior positions in global management consultancy, managed security services, and financial services. He was a Director at AlixPartners, the management consultancy firm, where he created its cyber security practice.
