ETA recognizes two Paysafe leaders in 2019 ‘Forty Under 40’

Feb 27, 2019

Melissa Pauléat and Jaredd Galloway honoured as payments industry gamechangers

Montreal, Quebec – Leading payments provider Paysafe Group (Paysafe) today announced that the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) has selected both Melissa Pauléat, Vice President of Group Marketing Services, and Jaredd Galloway, Director of Operations & Complex Services, for its annual Forty Under 40 class. In addition, Peter Christodoulo, Non-Executive Director on the Paysafe Board, was recognized for his work with Francisco Partners.

Honouring the payments professionals driving the industry’s evolution, last year’s inaugural ETA Forty Under 40 saw Paysafe VP of Operations Kelby Berg listed.

This year’s class honours Pauléat, who has over 15 years’ marketing experience. After joining Optimal Payments in 2015, she managed its rebrand into Paysafe Group the same year. Pauléat subsequently served as first Director and then Vice President of Marketing for Paysafe’s European and North American payment processing divisions. In her current role, she leads a diverse team spanning digital and social marketing, alternative acquisition channels, website development, events and sponsorship. Pauléat is a regular participant on ETA communications and technology committees.

A payments professional since 2002, Galloway was a member of the management team at iPayment that won the ETA 2018 ‘ISO of the Year’ Star Award. Following Paysafe’s acquisition of iPayment in H1 2018, he was promoted to Director of Operations & Complex Services. His new position saw him play an integral role in developing and implementing a new operations strategy for the post-acquisition phase that followed in H2 2018 and into 2019.

Christodoulo, a Director on the Paysafe Group Board of Directors since January 2018, was also named in the Forty Under 40. For over a decade, he has been a partner at private equity firm Francisco Partners, where he focuses on fintech and payments.

Pauléat said: “I’m excited to join the class of 2019 and to be recognized by ETA, whose committees have been very helpful in perfecting my payments knowledge and for networking with my peers. ETA is also a strong supporter of diversity, and I am honoured to be among the 17 women named this year.”

Galloway commented: “I am humbled to have been selected by ETA for the Forty Under 40 among so many talented and driven payments professionals. The industry has been my passion for almost two decades, and I am committed to making positive contributions for years to come.”

Joel Leonoff, President and CEO of Paysafe Group, said: “We pride ourselves on being an organization that nurtures talented individuals and fast-tracks their career development. We’re delighted to see ETA recognize two of our leaders.”

The ETA 2019 Forty Under 40 will be honoured at TRANSACT, held 30th April to 2nd May in Las Vegas.
