Our Culture and Values
Central to Paysafe’s success is the way we conduct ourselves - via our empowered employees, the technology we use, the services we provide, and the way we do business. Underpinning this is the pride associated with our culture of inclusion, optimism, collaboration, fun and success.
Trust is central to our success, key to our conduct. As we strive towards sustainability in all aspects, we take our responsibilities seriously and are committed to dealing fairly and with integrity with all our stakeholders.
Our commitment is a promise to ourselves to live the values that our employees created; Pioneering, Courageous, Open and Focused. Our four values are the heart of everything we do and inspires how we work together.
Ultimately, focusing on combining technology innovation with human innovation, we deliver value by creating working practices that improve productivity, reduce costs, develop talent and provide job satisfaction.
We are a business that celebrates people. Our people matter.
Our people are passionately transforming payments. They are having an impact and making a difference. A global community of pioneers who are relentless in their quest to liberate payments globally.
We want to attract and retain the best talent, motivate them with a culture they can be proud of, and inspire them through a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment.
Building an entrepreneurial, empowered culture is critical to our success. At an operational and management level, our approach centres on empowering divisional CEOs and their teams to make decisions quickly in ways that maximise success for their business lines and our company as a whole.
Who we are extends beyond our office walls and business activities, and we aim to be a supportive part of the local communities where we operate. Our vision for our community support is centred around giving both our time and money to local community causes.
In 2020 we launched our core global theme, supporting our ‘Future Generations’. Meaning our time, expertise and donations go towards supporting the young people in our communities to thrive. Whether that is through supporting education, social mobility, or health charities. Local committees in our key locations drive this engagement across Paysafe.
All Paysafe employees are encouraged to use their one-day volunteering allowance to support a cause they care about in their communities. This is something that is important to our culture and is actively encouraged across Paysafe. At Paysafe, volunteer led Community teams across our offices drive local momentum and push forward on our Community initiatives.
Most recently we decided to support local community-based charities as part of our humanitarian response to COVID19 in many of our key locations. A list of those charities can be seen below:
The Felix Project
East End Community Foundation
The Dublin Simon Community
147 Rat auf Draht
No Kid Hungry
LA Emergency COVID-19 crisis fund
Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids
Food Banks Canada

Diversity and Inclusion
At Paysafe Diversity and Inclusion is considered a strategic priority and not just a tick box, numbers exercise. All members of our Board and Executive Teams have fully endorsed this and are committed to creating a working environment where everyone’s unique contribution is valued.
We operate in increasingly diverse communities throughout our global footprint and this diversity is evident in our workforce, our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. We want Paysafe to be a great place to work and we expect our colleagues to treat each other, our customers, and our partners with respect and embrace one another’s differences.
In our increasingly competitive business environment, we understand that the performance and engagement of our employees is central to business success. An inclusive working environment, in which each employee is able to fulfil their potential and maximise their contribution, really matters at Paysafe. We recognise and value the creative potential that individuals of different backgrounds and abilities bring to their work.
We see equality legislation throughout our jurisdictions as setting ‘minimum standards’ and we want to go beyond ticking boxes. In promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, we want everyone to have access to jobs, training and development opportunities and for all people to be treated fairly.
We are committed to actively promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Below are some examples of what we do at Paysafe.
Board endorsement and D&I Steering Committee
Diversity and Inclusion is on both the Executive Committee and Board agendas. A Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee from across Paysafe, sponsored directly by Paysafe’s CEO, Philip McHugh meets on a regular basis to tackle key deliverables and discuss Paysafe’s progress in the promotion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Key KPIs are reviewed and reported to the Board on a quarterly basis.
Colleague-led local D&I teams
Representing all of Paysafe’s key locations, our D&I teams meet on a regular basis to organise an interactive, engaging D&I programme that benefits underrepresented employees including across race and ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. We also operate a very popular families network to ensure that those employees who are under pressure caring for family members also have a voice within the organisation to communicate the challenges they might be facing.
The intention is to demonstrate that we all have a responsibility to actively challenge the assumptions we may have about others, how we can all display bias and be on the receiving end of it. Furthermore, senior managers are asked to participate in diversity and inclusion workshops to understand their role and responsibilities from a leadership perspective and ensure that we lead by example and foster the culture from the top.
Paysafe rolled out and continued to provide a range of D&I training initiatives:
- Mandatory Diversity and Inclusion awareness training for all employees every two years with Open Mind. The training is designed to make our people think about the impact of unconscious bias on their relationships and consider situations where they can take action to be more open-minded to difference.
- 177 senior managers took part in inclusive leadership training totalling over 420 hours of training
- All D&I champions went through unconscious bias training and the training is available for all employees on JAM
- Unbiased Recruitment training for HR recruitment teams
- Anti-Harassment training
In 2020, Paysafe launched the Headspace plus membership for all Paysafe employees, giving employees the tools to support their mental health and wellbeing through guided meditation and a plethora of information and advice.

As part of our holistic approach to Corporate Responsibility we have identified sustainability and a focus on our environment as a flagship programme alongside D&I and focus on the community. A core philosophy we hold is that who we are extends beyond our office walls and our business activities and as such we are deeply committed to always doing business the right way.
In addition to our strategy to reduce carbon emissions across our operations through energy efficiency initiatives, Paysafe has achieved CarbonNeutral® certification from 2019 onwards. Natural Capital Partners established and maintain the CarbonNeutral® Protocol, which is the global standard for carbon neutral programs. As part of their work, they guided us on the data collection process and evaluated our total 2019, and forecasted 2020, carbon footprint. To then offset our footprint, we worked with them to identify several sustainability projects we could support in developing countries. The three we have committed to are all independently verified to assure they reduce emissions and also support the building of sustainable infrastructure, improve health and conserve habitat.
For more information, please view our press release: Paysafe achieves CarbonNeutral® company status.
Paysafe strives to foster a culture of openness and accountability in order to ensure the proper handling of any unethical and dishonest actions. As such, we committed to creating an open-door culture and encourage anybody working for or with Paysafe to raise their concerns about misconduct without fear of retaliation.
