Paysafe Pay Later CEO recognized by PaymentsSource industry list
London, UK - Claire Gates, CEO of Paysafe Pay Later, Paysafe’s pay by invoice and installment solution, has been named one of PaymentsSource’s ‘Most Influential Women in Payments in 2019’.
The list, which is published on an annual basis, celebrates women taking risks with new ideas and investments and developing the technology that will forever change the way people handle money. It is designed to recognize women who set an example for their peers, are unafraid to learn from newcomers and are diligent about encouraging a freshness and diversity of ideas.
Claire joined Paysafe in 2017 with global responsibility for Paysafe’s Pay Later business and services, which includes enabling consumers to pay for goods by invoice or by instalments. Prior to Paysafe, she held senior roles in a variety of financial organizations over a 20-year period including Citi Group, Virgin Money and American Express and has a proven track record of successfully developing and launching consumer-centric credit solutions.
Commenting on Claire’s recognition, Danny Chazonoff, Paysafe’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Claire is not only highly valued by her colleagues at Paysafe, but also an inspiration to others in the wider payments industry. It is so important for any business to have strong, female leaders and role models like Claire. I am delighted to congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.”
Claire added: “There are many talented individuals within the payments industry so it’s an honor to be named one of PaymentsSource’s most influential women in payments. 2018 was a transformational year for the industry in terms of diversity and inclusion, and at Paysafe it has also had heightened focus, so I hope that with the help of awards like these, we will be able to further encourage and inspire more women in our sector to push themselves forward to achieve their goals.”
