Paysafe’s Paulette Rowe recognized in American Banker’s 2022 ‘Most Influential Women in Payments’

Mar 15, 2022

CEO of Paysafe’s Integrated & Ecommerce Solutions division honored a third-straight year in U.S. payments industry power list of women leaders

Houston, Texas Paysafe (NYSE: PSFE), a leading specialized payments platform, today announced that Paulette Rowe, CEO of its Integrated and Ecommerce Solutions (IES) division, has been named in the ‘Most Influential Women in Payments’ class of 2022 by American Banker, the U.S. media outlet covering the global banking and financial services sectors.

Rowe’s latest recognition marks the third consecutive year that the Paysafe executive has been honored in the list of international payments industry women influencers. Prior to being recognized by American Banker (then called PaymentsSource) last year, she was included in its class of 2020 just two months after joining Paysafe as CEO of its new IES division. Before Paysafe, Rowe also made the list in 2017 during her tenure at Barclays.

Under Rowe’s leadership over the last 12 months, the IES division has continued to innovate in the payments space, including the launch of a safeguarding model for global travel merchants, and extending Paysafe’s single API into high-growth verticals such as crypto and iGaming. Through the API, merchants and partners are able to plug into the full range of Paysafe’s proprietary alternative payment methods (APMs) through one integration.

She has also been instrumental in strengthening Paysafe’s approach to sales with the launch of its new consolidated, cross-business Enterprise Sales organization, whose leader reports directly to Rowe.

Commenting on Rowe’s recognition, Philip McHugh, CEO of Paysafe, said: “The fact that Paulette’s influence has now been recognized by American Banker in each of the three years she’s been at Paysafe reflects the massive positive impact she’s had on our company culture and the wider industry. She continues to be an inspiration to me, my executives and the whole Paysafe team.”

Rowe commented: “It’s humbling to be honored a third-straight time alongside so many women leaders I admire. American Banker’s recognition also brings with it a responsibility to continue to work to address gender equality in our industry and nurture the next generation of women payment professionals.”
