Chirag Patel
Leading Digital Wallets

Chirag joined Paysafe last year and heads up the company’s newly expanded Digital Wallet’s division which focuses on delivering market-leading digital payment solutions and services to consumers.

Chirag Patel is an international payments executive with over 20 years’ experience gained in a diverse range of roles for well-known, global organizations.  During his career he has launched and grown multiple consumer-facing and B2B payments products and services around the world including alternative payment methods, prepaid, card payments, and remittance. As part of this, he has managed P&Ls up to 5 billion euros in annual revenue and focussed heavily on the customer experience, making decisions based on data and a strong strategic vision.

Before Paysafe, Chirag worked for Santander Group where he was Global Head of Payments.  While there, he successfully launched a global payment platform that significantly increased usage of the bank’s payments products and services. Before Santander, Chirag was Head of Payments, Europe and International Expansion at Amazon where he owned the tech giant’s long-term vision and end-to-end roadmap for emerging payment technologies as well as European payment acceptance and international payment expansion. Before Amazon, he held senior executive roles in payments and financial services for other well-known financial institutions including Softcard (acquired by Google), American Express Services Europe Limited and Merchant Services Group Int.

Based in the UK, Chirag also has extensive experience of working in the US, where he has lived, as well as Asia and Latin America.
