My Career Journey with Leroy Godfrey
This month we catch up with Leroy Godfrey a Business Analyst in Houston to talk through his career and life at Paysafe.
What has surprised you about working at Paysafe?
I’d say how open and welcoming the people are. Everybody here has been so open with fielding any questions I have about the industry and career development. I’ve had memorable conversations with individuals from all walks of life and each one of them has shared advice that has helped me on my career journey.
What initially motivated you to join Paysafe?
I’ve been with Paysafe for a year now, and what motivated me to pursue a career here was the exposure the graduate rotational program would allow me to have to all the different business units across our organization. Another key decision factor was my interest in FinTech and payments.
Are you involved in some of Paysafe’s Community and Environment or Diversity and Inclusion initiatives? / Are you an active member of our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) network groups (i.e. Women@Paysafe, Families@Paysafe, LGBTQ+@Paysafe, or Black@Paysafe). Why do you think D&I is important for companies and what initiatives have you been involved in so far?
I am a member of our Black@Paysafe group and have attended some amazing events hosted by them plus other events hosted by our network groups.
What do you think about career growth and professional development opportunities at Paysafe? Does Paysafe do a good job of providing internal career path opportunities and learning and development opportunities?
Paysafe does a good job of providing opportunites for career growth and professional development through certification opportunites and emphasizing the importance of continuous discussion of career growth between managers and employees. At the conclusion of the graduate program, I was presented with the opportunity to continue working with the Transformation team and throughout the program I had ample certification opportunites that will be very beneficial in my career.
How did you find being part of the first global graduate rotational program with Paysafe?
I found being a part of the inaugural class for Paysafe global graduate rotational program a great experience! I had the opportunity to work on solutions that will improve the way we operate as a business plus the leadership and coaching through the program from SMT members was so impactful.
Describe Paysafe with 3 words
I would have to say fun, friendly, and progressive.
You should come to work at Paysafe, because…
You’ll be surrounded by a support system that will help you grow and develop in all aspects plus you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects!
