Cybersecurity and data privacy

Our customers trust us with their assets and data, and we take our responsibility to them seriously. We are committed to the strongest security risk management and security control implementation and monitoring processes, so that when it comes to cybersecurity and data privacy, we live up to the Paysafe name.​

We have policies and processes in place to support the ethical, fair, lawful and transparent handling of merchant, consumer and employee data. Transparency and customer choice remain central to our approach. For example, our Privacy and Cookies Notices clearly explain how we use personal data, the rights available to individuals and where consent is required.

Consumer safety and protection

We are guided by our global user experience strategy, which reflects the scrutiny of the regulatory environment and keeps customers at the heart of our thinking. We are particularly focused on considering vulnerable customers, providing strong protection against fraud and financial crime, and delivering good customer outcomes.​

Protecting our customers and payments ecosystem, as well as preventing financial crime, is a core part of being a regulated, trusted financial organisation. We are focused on protecting our users and ecosystem partners from losses due to fraud, while at the same time allowing legitimate transactions to proceed with minimum friction. We monitor metrics for major types of fraud closely, alongside those for transaction approval rates and friction for customers.

Responsible technology and innovation

To set the highest possible standards for performance for our technology and to deliver reliable, trustworthy, ethical and unbiased systems, we have established overarching responsible technology principles to guide our approach across the organisation. The LASER principles are applied whenever we buy new technology, develop our own technology, consume technology in internal work, provide technology to customers or when we dispose of technology. The principles encourage a culture of innovation while maintaining an appropriate level of challenge and diligence.
